Potato procurement
As per direction of the Government the Assam State Agricultural Marketing Board is procuring Potato at Rs. 500/- per qtl. from the month of March, 2017 in order to provide fair price to the Potato growers in the districts of Barpeta and Sonitpur.For this purpose the Board has received an amount of Rs. 1.00 Crore from Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs department.Potato so far procured by the Board is shown below.
